About the Department
The department of botany in the college serves as a vital hub for understanding and researching plant life. It prepare students for career that contribute to betterment of agriculture, medicine, ecology and the environment, while also fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world. The department is equipped with state of laboratories with equipments, collection of plants material, museum, herbarium and medical plants material. The College campus is rich in plant biodiversity. It has gymnosperms(cycas, Thuja, Araucaria.) ferns and different flowering plants along with fruit trees. The department Endeavour to encourage well-rounded development of the students through assorted academic and co-curricular activities. There is a department library in addition to college library which provides books to needy students.
