anti ragging cell

Creating a safe and inclusive campus environment where every student is respected and valued – Stand against ragging, stand with us.

Ragging is a serious offense that can have severe psychological and physical impacts on students. At GNNC, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all our students. The Anti-Ragging Cell is an integral part of our efforts to combat and prevent any form of ragging within the campus.

Objective

The primary objective of the Anti-Ragging Cell is to eliminate ragging in all its forms by fostering a culture of respect and dignity among students. The cell works tirelessly to ensure a ragging-free environment by taking proactive measures and addressing complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Awareness Programs: Organizing workshops, seminars, and orientation programs to educate students about the ill effects of ragging and the importance of maintaining a harmonious campus environment.
  • Monitoring: Keeping a vigilant eye on campus activities, particularly during the initial months of the academic year when new students join.
  • Complaint Redressal: Providing a platform for students to report any incidents of ragging confidentially. The cell ensures that all complaints are investigated promptly and thoroughly.
  • Counseling: Offering counseling services to victims of ragging to help them recover from the trauma and to perpetrators to reform their behavior.
  • Enforcement of Rules: Strictly enforcing anti-ragging regulations as per the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Coordination with Authorities: Working closely with the local police, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach in preventing ragging.
Anti-Ragging Regulations The college adheres to strict anti-ragging regulations. As per the UGC regulations, any student found guilty of ragging will face severe disciplinary actions, which may include:
